Content, Content...looking for my Content

Last art of 2019

Happy New Cycle!! (That's not a thing I'm just being weird)

First update of the year and of course it's right at the buzzer. 2019 was...something. I don't really want to say it was bad because a lot of things that I went thru, I just needed to go thru them. As confusing or punnish as it sounds, I wouldn't be here without first going through 2019. So I'm not gonna bash last year and mark the time spent as something I'd rather forget. That said I am absolutely thrilled to move the fuck on, tho. This is honestly weird territory for me. Normally content creators are heavy into video and streaming and all that good stuff but that just isn't who I am. So this is my thing. Wordy, stream of thought, rambling posts to my website. Be that as it may, I still have to come up with things to say/content to post and I've been kicking around a few ideas. My focus this year is going to be on How to Draw Black People, so most of my content will revolve around stuff I talk about in the book. I'd like for you all to have the opportunity to be involved as much as possible so you're not just wasting your time reading my needlessly self-deprecating paragraphs. This month I'm going to go more in-depth with The diamond method that I laid out in HTDBP and show various ways it can be implemented. I'm also going to interview people using the cultural character prompt and give examples of translating the prompt into character designs. Be on the look out if you are interested in participating. Here's to you and 2020 and I hope you find what you're looking for this year or that you never lose sight of it <3
